Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4th, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, the late Emily May Park at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Sylvia Sheaves of Corner Brook, Leona Piercey (Dave Annand) of Nova Scotia, Linda Coish (Elwin) of Stephenville, Jeanette Noseworthy (Greg) of Corner Brook and Carolann Snooks (Herb) of Corner Brook; her three sons: Tom Park (Pat) of Alberta, Gary Park (Pauline) of Corner Brook and John Park (Bernadette) of Corner Brook;son-in-law Raymond Stratton, New Brunswick; her brother Phillip Gilbert (Mary Brake), her sisters: Matilda Sheppard, Maisie Hynes and Jennie McIntosh; her precious grandchildren: Twila, Treena, Scott, Janice, Bonnie, Joey, Andrew, Lori, Chuck, Melanie, Marilyn, Peter,Rita, Bradley, Courtney, Angie, Adam, Cheryl, Grant, Allan and Nichola; sixteen great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, special friend Anne Kelly and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Park, her parents Mary and Charles Gilbert, her daughter Verna, her brothers Raymond, Wesley, Douglas, Cyril and Henry Norman, her sisters Mary and Delphine, grandchildren Natalie, Karen and Pamela, great-grandchild Jersey Rae and son-in-law Frank Sheaves. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6th with the Very Reverend Michael Rice and Reverend Canon Gordon Druggett officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
