Donald Gerald Power Curling, NL July 12, 1947 - January 7th, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald Power announce his sudden passing on Sunday, January 7th, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 59 years. Leaving mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 38 years, Judy (nee Rideout); six brothers: Glen (Jill), Wally, Colin, Tom (Phyllis), Tony (Susan) and Darryl (Lori); six sisters: Doreen (Ray Wall), Jean (Dave Smith), Brenda (Frank Layden), Phyllis (Jerry Rankin), Irene (Gary Bailey) and Debbie (Blaine Rideout); sister-in-law: Rose Power; brother-in-law: Bill Rideout (Colleen); as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents: Walter and Mercedes Power; mother and father-in-law: Fred and Mary Rideout; brother Max, sisters: Joan and Marjorie; brother-in-law: Felix Young; nephews: Felix Young Jr. and Michael Rankin; niece: Linda Smith. Friends may visit Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 218 Curling street on Monday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 10th at 2:00 p.m. from Curling Memorial United Church, officiated by Rev. Clayton Parson and Majors Ron and Joyce Stuckless. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army section of Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
