Gordon A. Kennedy (Bud) May 27, 1931 - January 7, 2007 Age 75 years Korean War Veteran Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7th, 2007 at the Health Science Centre, St. John`s, the late Gordon (Bud) Kennedy. He will be sadly missed by his loving family that meant everything in the world to him. His wife, Ina of 54 years; nine children: Lorraine (Brian) Packwood, Sean (Suzanne), Carolyn (Garland) Oram, Elaine (Darrell) Layden, Kim (Rod) Sheppard, Janice (Jeff) Humber, Jamie (Natalee), Mark (Juanita and James), Alison (Steve) Hurley; grandchildren: Kelly, Jennifer, Matthew, Rebecca, Kevin, David, Justin, Ryan, Olivia, Jayme, Jacob and Joshua; one great grandchild: Renee; brothers and sisters: Leo (Ann), Nora (Cyril) Quilty, Frances (Bill) Van Helsdingen, Madonna Pittman (Leo), Betty (Roy) Quigley, Agnes (Ray) Lavers, Chris (Marg), Patsy (Joe) Privitera, Andy (Mae), Corina (Vern) Rideout, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his son Ralph, parents Moses and Lucy Kennedy, brothers Jack and Patrick, and sister Mildred. Friends may visit Fillatre’s funeral home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday from 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, January 11th at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Fr. Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
