It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Pike announce her passing on Thursday, February 15th, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Adelia “Didie” (Jim) Zimmerman, Frankfort, ON, Augustus “Gus” (Jeanie), Pasadena, Earl (Vicki), Little Rapids, Margaret (Irvin) Howe, Corner Brook, Montie (Ethel), Irishtown and Gary (June), Victoria Island, BC; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, sisters: Rowena (Allen) Benson, Grand Falls - Winsor and Hilda Hewlett, Deer Lake; brothers: Baron (Josie) Butt, Corner Brook and Gideon Butt, Scotland. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Martin Joseph, 1998, children Hayward, Sandra and an infant son, parents William and Adelia Butt, sisters Alice Manuel and Veronica Butt, brothers Douglas Butt, Clarence Butt, Hayward Butt and Augustus Butt. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Saturday 10-12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00 PM from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Canon Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Following the interment service there will be a reception held at All Saints Anglican Church Hall all family and friends are welcome. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer society.
