October 5th, 1913 - February 17th, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bridgett Jones announce her passing on Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at the Corner Brook Interfaith home at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 12 children, daughters: Beatrice Lake, Corner Brook, Madelyn Peddle, St. John’s, Rita Hatcher (Don) St. John’s, Olive White (Don), Pasadena, Ann White (Reg), Buchans, Genevieve Perrier (Jim), Deer Lake; sons: Patrick (Martha), Pynn’s Brook, Clifford (Shirley), Labrador, Kevin, BC, Junior (Barb), Pasadena, Ward (Joan), Pasadena, Thomas (Sheila), Pasadena; sisters: Genevieve Murphy, Corner Brook and Madelyn Bragg, Port Aux Basques; daughter-in-law: Maxine Jones, Corner Brook; 35 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Jones, 1989, and son Nathan, 1957. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. , and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of The Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Fr. Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Parish, P.O.
