Passed peacefully away at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo on Sunday, March 4th, 2007 George Billard Sr. at the age of 78 years. Born at Grand Bruit, he was the son of the late Henry and Bessie (nee Riles) Billard. He was also predeceased by brothers: Jack, Eric, Sim, and sister Mabel. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family, wife of 44 years, Edna; son Ches (Tammy), grand-son Andrew; sisters: Lily (Frank), Burgeo and Julia (Bob), ON; brothers: Wilbert (Edith), N.S., Rodney (Madeline), N.S., Michael (Georgina), Grand Bank, Gerald (Michilen), ON and Wendell, ON, along with a large circle of other family members and friends. Visitation took place on Monday, March 5th at Grand Bruit United Church, from where the Funeral Service took place on Tuesday, March 6th at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Dr. W. Cole. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques.
