FREDERICK ABRAHAM BATSTONE Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fred Batstone announce his passing on Monday, March 19th, 2007 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife Emily; only daughter Gertrude; grandchildren: Denise and Jeffrey, Calgary, AB; two sisters: Dorothy Hounsell, Halifax, NS, and Kathleen Locke, Corner Brook; three brothers: George (Margaret), Cormack, Joe, Steady Brook and Jim (Angela), Corner Brook; brothers and sisters-in-law: William (Beatrice), Pollard’s Point, Edward (Margaret), Isle Aux Morte, Almore (Marie), Hampton, George (Rosena), Hampton, and Lillian , Brooklyn, Bonavista Bay; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Kenneth and Selina. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Humber United Church, Clarence Street. Rev. Kathy Brett officiating.
