HAROLD GORDON CURTIS Corner Brook, NL August 23rd, 1919 - April 1st, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Gordon Curtis announce his passing on Sunday, April 1st, 2007 at the DVA Unit, J.I. O’Connell Centre at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Beverley Wareham (Ted), Labrador City; son Ed Curtis (Irvene), Corner Brook; 4 grandchildren: Dionne Wareham (Jamie), Jamie Wareham, Todd Curtis (Arlene) and Tracy Curtis (Steve), 4 great-grandchildren: Destiny and Devlin Wareham and Daniel and Heidi Curtis, sisters: Barbara Hinks, North Sydney NS and Shirley Musseau, Corner Brook; brother Norman Hunt (Sandra), Whitby, Ont., sisters-in-law: Nealie Snow (Reuben, Madge Rowsell (Gerald) and Beulah Ryan all of Robert’s Arm; brother-in-law Boyce Ryan (Marie), Robert’s Arm. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Jessie (nee Ryan), 2005, daughter Sherry, 1976, parents George and Jessie Curtis, sisters Marion Samson, Floss Holloway, Dorothy Curtis and Irene Curtis, brothers Dan Hunt and Llewellyn Hunt. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 2:00 PM from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the DVA Unit, O’Connell Centre, the Diabetes Association or to the First Unit Church Memorial Fund.
