It is with great sadness that the family of the late Regina Hawkins announce her passing at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook on Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 at the age of 87. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sylvia (John) Kennedy, Barrie, ON, Jim (Cathy) Hawkins, Cox’s Cove, Mary Hawkins (Keith Cox), Cox’s Cove, Brian Hawkins, Toronto, ON, Brenda (Roland) Leger, Corner Brook, Dorothy (Tom) Lomond, Darthmouth, NS, Melvin Brake, Scarborough, ON, step-sons: Clement (Nettie) Hawkins, Cormack, John (Karen) Hawkins, Corner Brook. Her sisters Olive Webb and Angela Young of Corner Brook as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clement Hawkins Sr., 1968, son Gerard Hawkins, 2003, grandson George Hawkins sister Annie Watson, 2005 and brother-in-law Jim Watson, 2007. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The mass of christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the 5th & 6th Floor Enhancement Committee.
