Michael Edward BRAKE Stephenville, NL (Formerly of St. Fintan’s) March 29, 1925 - May 15, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Edward Brake announce his sudden passing in Kippen’s, NL on Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mary B. Brake (nee: Lasaga); three daughters: Dianne (Bill) Scott, Judy (Ivan) Gosse and Vivian (Gerard) Bennett; eight sons: Aloysius (Suzanne) Ross, Harold (Iona), Brian (Loretta), Jerome (Winifred), Wayne (Joanne), Gerard (Vivian) and Michael (Marilyn); brothers: Stan Brake; sister Ignatia Dollimont; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary Brake; brothers: Leonard, Kevin, Cyril, William,Isadore and Carol; sisters: Regina, Rita, Matilda, Dorothy and Jean. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday 7-9 p.m., Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, May 19th at 12:30 p.m. from St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church in Stephenville, Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Roman Catholic Section in Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
