GEORGE BELL PIKE 1928-2007 Port aux Basques, NL Passed away at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port aux Basques, on Friday May 18, 2007, George Bell Pike in his 79th year. George was a member of Cabot Masonic Grand Lodge # 13 Port aux Basques and a member of the Shriners Mazol Temple of Newfoundland and Labrador. Survived by wife Hilda (Stone), son Frank (Shirley), daughter Joan (Tony) and grandson Andrew. Also, sister Ellen Roberts, brothers James (Ruby), Bill (Ruby), Mack (Ann), nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. George was predeceased by parents Honorable Frank and May, and brother-in …law, Stanley Roberts. Friends visited Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service was held on Monday, May 21 at 1:00 PM from Wesley United Church, Port aux Basques, Rev Patricia Ritchie officiated. Interment followed at Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Shriners Fund for Burned and Crippled Children.
