MARY ELIZABETH KENNEDY Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Kennedy announce her passing on Sunday, May 20th, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her 2 sons: Eric (Edith) Kennedy and Bernard (Rose) Kennedy; 4 daughters: Joan (Don) Murphy, May (Harlon) Hubley, Maudie Kennedy (Jim Ducey) and Barbara Kennedy; 11 grandchildren: Craig, Cara, Sara, Tara, Elizabeth, Veronica, Janelle, John, Allan and Michelle; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; step-sister Anastasia Hynes. As well as a large circle of wonderful friends at the Hiscock Manor, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her parents William and Josephine Penney, daughter Hilda Laws, granddaughter Joclyn, sons-in-law Harlon Hubley and Jack Laws, brothers William, Harold and Alphonsus Penney, sisters Lola and Anna Penney. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The mass of a christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 10:30 AM from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
