Passed peacefully away at his family residence on Thursday, May 24th 2007 WILLIAM BYRNE at the age of 79, surrounded by his loving family. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories sisters: Rosaleen (James) Walsh & their children: Brian, Joanne, Rosalind, Jimmy, Paul, Maxine, Sean, Wayne, Tony, Michelle & Trudy, with whom he resided for 40 years, Theresa (Dennis) Murphy, Rita (Gary) McGregor; brothers: Bernard (Mary), Joseph (Marie), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mary & Patrick, sisters: Lena (William) Humphries, Marie Byrne, brother Harry (Agnes), nephew Max Layden, niece Denise Humphries. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 26th at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue Father Joseph Gash officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Friday during the hours 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Lung Association or Charity of ones choice.
