Passed peacefully on Thursday, April 10th, 2008 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL, RITA MARY BUTT at the age of 86. She will be sadly missed by her 3 children: Margaret Clarke (John), John Butt (Roxanne), Rick Butt; 2 grandchildren: Andrew Clarke , Heather Clarke, 1 great grandchild Andrea Clarke; very special lifetime friends Madeleine Parsons, Dave & Nina Curtis as well as a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Butt, October 2000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street Father Don Leonard officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Saturday from 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
