Mabel Janes (nee Sharpe) 119 Brookfield Avenue, Corner Brook, NL March 13, 1920 - June 2, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mabel Janes announce her sudden passing at her residence on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her four children: Bob (Angela), Corner Brook, Bill (Kay), Corner Brook, Frank (Bride), Stephenville and Helen, with whom she resided, Corner Brook; eight grandchildren: Darryl, Glenn (Jackie), Sharon (Roger), Brenda (Mark), Todd (Stephanie), Paul (Peggy), Bill (Geneva) and Brian (Wanda); six great grandchildren: Shantel, Madison, Morgan, Beth, Tyler and Amanda; sisters: Sadie Crane and Marjorie Evis; brothers: Llewelyn , Edwin and Raymond (Phyllis); sisters-in-law: Hilda Janes and Delilah Sharpe, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Alexander (1995), brothers: Donald (2006), John (1942) and parents Robert and Alfreda Sharpe. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5th at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or to the charity of ones choice.
