It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harley Pike announce his passing on Friday, June 22nd, 2007 at the DVA Unit of the J.I. O’Connell Centre, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his 2 sons: Don (Gillian) Pike and Bob (Lovaine) Pike both of Wales, England; grandchildren: Mark, Deborah, Stephen, Gary and Helen as well as numerous great-grandchildren; special friend Rita Crocker, Woody Point; brothers: Clayton Pike, Glenburnie and Donald (Gladys) Pike, Woody Point; sisters: Mildred (Fred) Martin, Dorothy (Jim) Martin both of Woody Point and Marie Tulk, Florida USA; sister-in-law Sadie Pike, Hawkes Bay. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wives Lena and Gwendolyn, parents Norma and Matilda Jane, brothers Donald, Joe and Cornelius and sister Bessie Kennedy. Friends may visit the Church of the Epiphany, Woody Point on Sunday beginning at 1:00 PM from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 26th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Marilyn Moore officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
