RAYMOND HEDLEY ROWE Deer Lake, NL October 5th, 1949 - August 9th, 2007 Raymond Hedley Rowe a friend to all who knew him passed away Thursday, August 9th, 2007. He passed Peacefully in the arms of soulmate Joan with son Shawn at his side. He was everything a husband, father and grandfather could aspire to be. All our shared moments will be forever etched in our memories. Ray’s loving and gentle ways will be forever cherished by wife Joan. Dad will always be the best friend and father of son Shawn. Ray and daughter-in-law Ainsley shared a special quiet connection that will never be forgotten. Pops legacy and gentle spirit will live on his most precious grandson Ryan Raymond Rowe. He will be forever remembered by his baby sister Dale (Kevin) who he always protected and her children Nicole and Jessica. Remembered by aunt Millicent (uncle Guy) Slade, mother-in-law Elizabeth Ollerhead (Jobe), sisters-in-law: Selma (Carl) Strangemore - nieces Luanne and Shelly; Loretta (Earl) Parsons - nephew Lee; Peggy (Rick) White - nieces Teri and Staci; Beverley Ollerhead (Tony) - niece Tara, nephew Mark; brothers-in-law: Baxter (Dawn) Ollerhead - niece Jenny, nephews Scott and Lee; Darryl (Jeanette) Ollerhead - nieces Cassandra and Alyshia and nephew DJ; Dawson (Jennifer) Strangemore - nephews Andrew and Adam, niece Sydney. As well as a large circle of family and many friends. He was predeceased by mother and father Edna and Clayton Rowe, father-in-law Ernest Ollerhead. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday from the hours of 7-9 PM and Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 12th at 2:00 PM from St. Paul’s United Church. Interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy on flowers by request, donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church Accessibility Fund, the Coach Ray Rowe Deer Lake Minor Hockey Memorial Fund or to the Children’s Wish Foundation. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered, “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
