It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Jefferies announce his passing on Monday, September 3rd, 2007 at his family residence in Deer Lake at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Irene; children: Phyllis (Frank) Bailey, Bliss Jefferies, Pamela (Dion) Simmons, all of Deer Lake; grandchildren: Paul, Yolanda, Frankie, Richard, Liam, Kylie, Terri-Lynn, Carmelita and Tim; great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Dawson, Landon, Taylor, Spencer, Chase, Bailey, Logan, Kayla and Brooke; sisters: Ruth Ball, Deer Lake, Phyllis Fraser, Toronto, ON, Pearl Rose, Western Bay, Verna Green, Dartmouth, NS, Vera Demaria, Pennsylvania; brothers: Otto Jefferies, Deer Lake, Clyde Jefferies, Toronto, ON and William Jefferies, Clarke’s Beach, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by parents William and Maude, first wife June Jefferies, son Bernard and brothers: Elmo and Melvin. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Wednesday, September 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 6th at 2:00 p.m. from the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Deer Lake, Pastor Terry Snow officiating and Sermon by Pastor Cyril Farewell. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, High Street. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Lung Association of NL & Labrador.
