Ellen Elizabeth Bennett (nee Murphy) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ellen Bennett announce her passing on Friday, September 14th, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three children: Winnie Ryan (Brian LaSaga), St. George’s, Verna Lee (Daniel), St. George’s and David (Sheila) Bennett, Corner Brook; three grandchildren: Jessica and Brittany Lee, and Melissa Bennett; brothers: Ronald (Barbara) Murphy and Peter Murphy, with whom she resided, both of Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Michael and Mary Winnifred Murphy; brothers: Joseph, Stephen, Aloysius, Jack, Thomas, Anthony and Walter. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 17th at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot, Townsite cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
