ANNIE PAYNE LEGGE (Nee: HULAN) Jeffrey’s, NL June 28, 1920 - September 14, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Payne Legge announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Lavinia (Joseph) Curnew, Dorothy (Gordon) Hounsell, Jeffrey’s; sons: Harry (Sheila), Channel, David (Elsie), St. John’s, Augustus (Greta), Jeffrey’s, Ronald (Connie), Moncton, NB; daughter-in-law: Laverne, Quispansis, NB; sons-in-law: Gary Compton, Labrador City, Martin Benoit, Jeffrey’s; 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; sisters: Jean Large, Jamesville, NY, and Dorothy Gilliam, Robinson’s, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Emanuel; parents: Maud and Henry Hulan; son: Eugene; daughters: Sandra Benoit and Colleen Compton; brothers: Augustus, Ford, Walter and Windsor. Friends may visit St. Mary Magdalene Anglican church in Jeffreys on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9, from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 18th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Hounsell-Drover and Rev. Sandra Hounsell-Drover officiating. Interment to follow in St. Magdalene Anglican Cemetery in Jeffrey’s. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
