Evelyn Gladys (nee Batten) Davis of Curling, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care facility, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88 years. Forever loved by her children; Verna (Ewen), Lorna, Marion (Tim), Marina (Dave), Donna (Matthew), David, Raymond (Kathy), Cathy (Cyril), Paul, Gerry, Stephen and Bernard (Sonya); as well she will be deeply missed by her 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brothers: Donald (Minetta) and Austin (Margaret); sisters Verna, Joan and Marion; as well as many relatives and friends.  Predeceased by her husband Horace, son Charles, brothers Raymond, Bruce and Gerald. A heartfelt thank you to the medical staff at Western Memorial Hospital and Corner Brook Long Term Care. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating.  Interment to take place at the family plot, Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society. The family guest book may be signed by visiting our website www.fillatre.ca.
