My heart is broken today as I think of my nieces and nephew having to say goodby to there beautiful mom. She has been in my life for many many years and I loved her dearly. She always made sure that I had a place to sleep and food to eat everytime I came to nfld and always had a smile and a big hug for us. I have many beautiful memories of all the years that I have know you. RiP my friend until we meet again.

Sharon, Johnny and Laurie and Marilyn,
I'm so sorry we all have to say goodbye to Geraldine so prematurely and unexpectedly. Life can be cruel sometimes and this is a reminder to us all of how easily it can be taken away. May we all honour her memory by living our best life while we have it, being compassionate to those in need, enjoying the beauty of our surroundings and welcoming opportunities to still laugh. These are all traits that come to mind when I think of Geraldine and I'm so grateful that she was a part of my/our family. I will always remember her as one of the first role models of a strong, independent woman in my life, and am grateful for that influence as well.
And while I wish I had had the opportunity to see her more in later years, thanks to Facebook, we were able to connect quite a bit. Particularly over anything to do with animals and certainly any time I posted a picture of Mom, I think she was always the first one to send her love.
And much like her sister, our Nan, it's evident just how many friends she had, regardless of their age or circumstances. I hope you are all able to take comfort in knowing she gave and received so much love and has touched so many lives. She will never be forgotten.

It is hard to believe you’re gone. I had the opportunity to work at the motel with Geraldine and I will never forget her kindness. We kept in touch and she always asked about my family and how everyone was doing. She was a genuinely nice person who showed kindness to everyone she met. Geraldine you will be missed. I will always remember our time together and cherish the memories.

Marilyn, Sharon, Johnny and Lori... visiting your sister/mom was always a highlight for us on trips to and through Deer Lake as children. Her love of animals was always evident and more recently so too was her love for her grandchildren. We saw lots of our nan in Geraldine and it was always easy to tell that they were sisters and that they shared an adoration for their mom... our great ‘Grandma’.
I visited Aunt Geraldine with my mom last Fall. She took great pride in her garden and her newly remodeled bedroom. I’ll cherish those memories and be thinking of you all at this terribly sad time.

It is with great sadness we write this note to you on the passing of your loving, caring and extremely sweet mom. Geraldine was a very special lady and we can’t imagine how you feel but we hope you take solace in the love you shared with your special and dear Mom.
We will always remember her and that beautiful smile she so easily shared with us all.
We are glad we had the opportunity to see her every time we went back to Deer Lake . The last time we seen her she gave us flowers that are still blooming in our parents/in laws yard, another reminder just how loving she was.
