Obituary of Gordon Lester Broomfield

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Lester Broomfield announce his passing on July 31st, 2018 at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL at the age of 80 years. Gordon (aka Mr. Steel) will be sadly missed by his Brothers: Donald (Audrey), and Francis; Sister: Monica; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his Parents: Dora and Calvin; and Brother: Parker.

Gordon will be remembered for his love of nature, barbequing and playing his steel guitar.

Friends and Family are welcomed to visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL on Thursday August 2nd, 2018 from the hours of 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday August 3rd, 2018 from the United Church with Rev. Benjamin officiating with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The Broomfield Family would like to send special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL for all the care, support and compassion they provided for Gordon.
