It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Stanley Walsh announce his passing on Tuesday, August 14th, 2018 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 59 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are George’s brothers and sisters: Linda Amos, Patricia Osmond (Ivan), Stephen Walsh (Roseanna), Robert Walsh (Kelly), Maureen Burton (Carson) and Sandra White (David); he will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Sadie (nee Trask); Brothers David and John and Sister Elizabeth. Granting his wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. A Prayer service will take place on Saturday, August 18th at 10:30 AM from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street with Monsignor Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot, Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA, 10 Connors Road, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 3G4.
