Obituary of Donald Austin Massie

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald Austin Massie (a.k.a “Good Don”) announce his passing on August 15th, 2018 at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL at the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed by his Wife: Louise; Daughter: Frances (John); Grandchildren: Danielle, Nicole, Patrick, Brendon, and Colby; Great Grandchildren: Daxton and Matilda; Brothers: Lloyd, Rick, Barry, and Wayne; Sister: Irene; As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Donald was predeceased by his Parents: David and Sarah Massie; Daughter: Michelle; Great Grandchild: Violet; Brothers: Jim, Dave, Doug, and Ian; and Sister: Debbie.

Friends are welcome to visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Sunday August 19th, 2018 from the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday August 20th, 2018 from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating with cremation to follow.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Donald’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL for the care and compassion they provided to Donald.
