Obituary of Dianna Davis

Mrs. Dianna Davis born June 25th, 1940 to the late Thomas and Mary Normore passed away peacefully at Forteau Long Term Care surrounded by family on August 23, 2018.

She was united in holy matrimony to Albert Davis of L’Anse Amour, on November 12th, 1957. This union was blessed with six children. Albert preceded her in death on April 20, 1979.Dianna held the position of post mistress with Canada Post in L’Anse Amour for a period of 35+ years.  Dianna was an active member of the St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Anglican Church Woman (ACW), L’Anse au Loup 50+ club and Labrador South Ladies Hospital Auxiliary.   She was a lady who enjoyed being around her family and friends, volunteering her time in any way to help others, spending numerous hours in her sewing room, knitting, quilting, crocheting and a good ole game of cards was never turned down. 

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: George (Audrey), Barry (Dale), Pauline (Bernard), Anthony (Caroline), Dona (Norman) & Ada (Danny).  Her grandchildren: Justin, Marquita, Joy, Jordan, Matthew, Kent, Dawson, Thea, Jessica & Allie.  Her great grandchildren: Jayden, Jaylynn, Gracie, Jolee & Jake.  Predeased by Grandson Jeffery (son of Barry & Dale).

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Forteau Health Center for the love and compassion showed to mom and our entire family during her time there.  A sincere thank you to all of you who made phone calls, brought food and helped out in so many ways over the past few weeks we really appreciate each and every one.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Labrador South Ladies Hospital Auxiliary.

Visitation will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in L’Anse au Loup on Friday & Saturday at 7:30 PM.  Funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Larkin on Sunday, August 26th @ 1:00 PM followed by the interment at L’Anse Amour cemetery.
