We had only been in Newfoundland a few years, when we were fortunate enough to meet Bob, it would be our first and last time,but that one encounter changed how we felt about Newfoundland and Newfoundlanders, I had in my mind that all Newfoundlanders were truly kind, and welcoming, that had not been the case, well until Bob dropped by to introduce himself, he had us laughing into the wee hours of the morning with his stories, it was like we had known him all our lives.
Bob is the epitome of what it means to be a Newfoundlander, at least to these mainlanders. We have also had the privilege of meeting some of his children, at our son in law Mike’s place in St John’s, he with out a doubt has passed on that kind and welcoming, gene to his children.
We are very sad to hear of his passing, but blessed to have met him.

Judy, so sorry to hear of Bobby’s passing, we are heartbroken, but I say God needed another Angel, his Mom will meet him with open arms.
