My deepest condolences to the Weaton Family. Mr Weaton was my science teacher in Grade 8 and he had a profound way of teaching and understanding each students needs. He made science acome to life in the class room and in the lab. He had so much compassion and always showed an interest in each students success. I can only imagine how deep your loss must feel but I hope knowing how special Mr Weaton was and how many students he touched through his work, means that his spirit will live in each of us forever! Love, Richard LeDrew and Family ( now living in California )

It is with our deepest sympathy that we hear of Wayne’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with each one of you during this very sad and difficult time. Hold close and cherish all of the wonderful memories you have to get you through the days ahead. I grew up on Greening’s Hill and lived across the street from Wayne and his Mom and Dad. Our paths crossed several times over the years. and he would always say hi and sometimes stop and have a chat. Take care!

We are very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. Mom (Loretta) often speaks of their time growing up together and how fond she was of him. She recalls babysitting him and how in younger days he would often refer to her as being like a big sister even though she was his aunt. We hope your memories of him will help see you through this difficult time. Deepest condolences, Aunt Loretta and cousins Marlene and Kathleen.

Shocked and sorry to heard that Wayne passed away. A wonderful friend and colleague as we taught together at G.C. Rowe for many years. Since leaving the west coast we lost contact and thus I did not even know Wayne was sick. Again, sincere condolences.

Dianne and I are saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. Wayne and I spend many years teaching at G. C Rowe Junior High School. During those many years, we spoke about many topics especially his love of finance and investments, which ironically became my second career after retiring. We pass our sincere thoughts and prayers to his family. Regretably, we no longer live in Corner Brook so will not be able to attend his service. Rest in peace my friend.

I remember Wayne Wheaton from grade 9 science class at G.C. Rowe.
While he only taught me one class, for one year, he left a profound
impression on my life, and is one of the teachers I remember regularly.
While I wasn't the most popular kid in grade 9 he always made me feel included.
From watching him write on the wall after running out of room on the chalk
board, to swapping copies of Mad Magazine with me at the end of class,
he was one of the good ones who made learning fun, and not a chore.
Thank you sir!
