Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, surrounded with the love of his family, on Saturday, May 26, 2018, Harold Gordon Clarke of Grand Bend, formerly of Scarborough and Curling Nfld., age 69. Beloved life partner of Pearl (Benson) French. Dear father and father-in-law of Jeannette & Ian Howie of Halifax, NS. Linda & Wael Mohamed of Ottawa. Dear brother of Linda Smith of Moncton N.B., Yvonne & Doug Brown of Oshawa, Brenda & Gary Preston of Corner Brook, Nfld. And Howard & Norma Clarke of Angus. Lovingly remembered by Pearl’s family: Ron & Erica French of Millbrook, Dennis & Janet French of Sutton, Dianne & Alan Neil of Maderia Beach, FL., Donna & Jim Ferron of Brampton, David & Catalina French of Millbrook, Wanda French of Pickering, Vivian & Bob Cavers of Dorchester, Cindy & Tom Hart of Lagoon City, Pearl & Derek Bess of Pickering. Loved and will be missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Gordon George & Mina Frances (Payne) Clarke, Brother Harvey Clarke and brother-in-law Bruce Smith. An urn burial will take place on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the family plot at Mt. Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, officiated by Archbishop Stewart Payne. Following the interment, a reception will follow at 59 Petries Street, Curling.
