Dear Kenny & Noel family: Now living in NB, I regularly go thru Obituaries & so saddened by Mary's death. I last saw her & Bobby at Mom's 2011 funeral. My Bro. Paul died in Burlington Ont. Nov.9, 2016 - we didn't bury him till same date of Mom's funeral in June 2017. I was still sending Mary Xmas cards. She was always a real sweetheart. A special remembrance from my oldest sister, Barbara, who also loved her & Val. It'll be Barb's 75th Birthday tomorrow, the date of Mary's funeral; which I'll call Barb about tomorrow. Barb's youngest daughter, also Mary, just had Barb & Bob's 18th grandchild yesterday @ 9 lbs. 4 oz. Barb & Bob Luttrell moved to Nashville near 2 of their 4 daughters. The 2 boys live elsewhere for a family of 6.
Memories of summers in Corner Brook come to mind esp. when my sis. Pauline & I spent a summer w/Mr. & Mrs. Kenny when Mom got overstayed all summer in C.B. Hospital and they looked after us two - what an adventure with Bobby, Kenny & Brenda - up watching late movies, eating f. fries and toast w/bacon & Damson Plum Jam. We never had it so good. I have to say, however, I was sick of playing cards. Ha. I'll get a Mass card fr. our family, Barb,Pauline,Dom & Me to prob. Bobby or Brenda if I can get an address. I'll pray for all of you tomorrow at Adoration.Mary was a good Catholic but Masses & prayer still needed. JMJ Theresa Sleep

On behalf of the auxiliary and myself, deepest sympathy. We were so shocked to hear of Mary's passing. She was a wonderful person, always so pleasant, a good member of the Auxiliary, always there with her baked goods for our three bake sales and the Tree of Memories and there to lend a helping hand. Her sense of humor was great. On the Occasion of our Auxiliary Convention in 2017 in Grand Falls/Windsor, she won the 50/50 draw and offered to buy breakfast for our group on Sunday morning. Following our Memorial Service, we went to the dining room and Mary said "breakfast is on me". I was sitting directly across from her and told her that wasn't necessary. With that lovely smile of hers and a little chuckle she pointed her finger at me and said " Gladys, I am older than you so I can tell you to shut up, order your breakfast and enjoy" We all got such a laugh at that. She was a dedicated member of the Auxiliary and example is this: On April 9th, 2018, the worst storm of the winter, our monthly meeting was scheduled at Sobeys Community room and Mary was to bring lunch. I called all the members to cancel, however due to a mix up in telephone numbers, Mary did not get the message.. She made lunch, got to Sobeys, only to find she was the only one there. She would not take the lunch back home , so she treated the Sobeys staff. I felt terrible but Mary just laughed it off.
You will surely be missed Mary. You were loved by all of us. Rest in Peace. All Auxiliary Members.

Thinking of you all today. I spent a lot of time growing up in the Noel home. With Mary and Val. Many parties and much love was in that home. Mary taught me to make chicken al a king. Cabbage rolls.
