Jessie Maria Linstead-Normore

Jessie Maria Linstead-Normore (age 78 years) passed away at Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony, NL, October 16th, 2018 – after a brief illness.She was born in L’Anse au Loup, Labrador, the first of eight siblings and daughter of Percy & Rosie Linstead.

She is survived by her daughters:  Barbara (Philip), Elva (Allister), Allison (Dwayne); sons: Royle (Patricia), Rodney (Lucy).

She is predeceased by her husband, Josiah; daughter, Madelon; son-in-law, Jacques.

Leaving behind to treasure her memory – sisters: Sarah (Gordon – deceased), Vivian (Bill), Winnie (Alfred), Greta (deceased), Elsie (Derrick); brothers: Clayton (Maggie), & Ewart (Sharlene); 14 grandchildren: Colleen, Cory (Annette), Pamela, Chrissy, Marcus, Gina, Marius, Patrick, Paul, Joey, Nicholas (Natasha), Jeffrey, Zoe, Cloe; 7 great-grandchildren: Heather, Adam, Amy, Quinn, Caleb, Chelsea & Alexander.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Forteau Health Center & especially, the staff at Curtis Memorial Hospital, St.  Anthony for your love & compassion showed to mom and our entire family during her time there over the last days.  A sincere thank you to all who made phone calls, dropped by, brought food & helped in any way over the past number of days; we appreciate your kindness.

A celebration of Jessie’s life will be October 19, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, with Reverend Nath Larkin officiating; Internment at the Anglican Cemetery in L’Anse au Loup.
