It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia Irene Ryland announces her passing on October 25th, 2018 at the Forteau Long Term Care Centre, Forteau, NL aged 96 years.

Irene leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Stella (Lavender) Barney, Grace (Malachi) Normore, Caroline O’Brien, Alma (Marcel) O’Brien, Maxine (Patrick) Pendergast, Gertie (Warren) Fowler, Dorcas (Dorman) Fowler, David (Mary) Ryland, and  Jerry (Selma) Ryland;  grandchildren, Ross (Sherry), Daisy (Darrin), Sharlene (Ewart), Vanessa (Trevor), Clifton (Miranda), Colleen (Junior), Colin (Julia), Darrell (Jackie), Tara (Dean), Noelle (Dashi), Leanne (Shawn), Paul (Sarah), Silone, Dylan (Kimberly),  Andrew (Rachelle), Stephanie (Jonathon), Jenesta (Dwight), and Janine (Brendan); 21 great-grandchildren; 3great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mariah Belben and Mabel Belben; son-in-law, Robert; lifelong friend, Mrs. Marion Barney; as well as a large number of other relatives and many friends. 

Irene is predeceased by her husband, Arthur; infant daughter, Mary and daughter, Hazel Trimm; siblings, Josiah (twin brother), Alfred, Henry, Kenneth, Leslie, Pearl, Ursula, Mahalla, Jane, and Isabella ; son-in-law, Eric; parents, John Charles and Eliza Jane Belben.

The public visitation will take place Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, L’Anse Au Loup, NL.

The funeral service will take place Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2 pm from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, L’Anse Au Loup, N
