It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Skinner announce his passing on Friday, May 9th, 2008 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn wife Madeline; sons: Donald (Juanita), Roger (Ethel), Arthur (Mary), Cory (Patti) and Quinton (Sherry); daughters: Marlene (Kevin), Edith (Nev) and Ann Marie (Eric); foster sons: Colin (Holly) and Terry (Darlene); son-in-law Vince (Mary); grandchildren: Rick (Penny), Trudy (Perry), Michelle (Paul), Michael (Tami), Cindi (Dale), Jamie (Vivian), Shawn (Patti), Trent (Michelle), Sara, Stephanie, Stephen C., Alyson, Josh, Ian, Patrick, Blake, Rebecca M., Amanda, Stephen M., Terri-Lynn (George), Rebecca Y. (Shea) and Cherlyn (Tyson); great-grandchildren: Thomas, Kyra, Matthew, Caileigh, Mackenzie, Joshua, Julia and Ocean; sister Marion Larkin, Connecticut, USA, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Elizabeth, first wife Evelyn, son Ricky, brothers: Gordon and Edgar, and special nephew Roger. The family received friends at St. Thomas Becket Anglican Church in Port au Choix on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, May 12th at 11:00 am, Reverend Diane Smith officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix, Holly Brown Funeral Director.
