ERIC WILSON JONES Corner Brook, NL 1937 - 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Wilson Jones announce his passing on Thursday, May 29th, 2008 at the Interfaith Home For Seniors, Corner Brook at the age of 70 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Violet (nee Crocker), children: Peggy (Martin) Crocker, Woody Point, Denise (Gerry) Payne, Woody Point, Janet Rose (Doug), Pasadena, John Jones (Jackie), Corner Brook and Melinda (Shawn) Park, Corner Brook; grandchildren: Christopher, Tara, Samantha, Matthew, Shane, Natasha, Nicole, Michaela, Taylor and Shawn; sisters: Mary (Jim) Hardy, Corner Brook, Jean (Ernie) Christopher, British Columbia, Louise McCarthy, Michigan, USA and Myrtle (Barry) Haigh, Edmonton, Alb; brothers: Gerald (Barb) Jones, Ottawa, Ont., Lloyd (Helen) Jones, Corner Brook and Calvin Jones (Betty), St. John’s; sisters and brothers-in-law: Delores (Winston) Crocker, Trout River, Roxie (Ted) Upwards, Woody Point, Guy (Janet) Crocker, Trout River, Abe (Belle) Crocker, Meadows, Thelma Crocker (Donald), Selwyn Crocker (Betty) and Maude (Roddie) Barnes all of Trout River. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Gladys Jones, parents-in-law Bussey and Phyllis Crocker. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Friday and Saturday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st at 2:00 PM from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street, The Very Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
