March 19, 1933 - June 15, 2008
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Margaret Samms announce her passing at the Charles LeGrow Health Center in Port Aux Basques, NL on Sunday, June 15th, 2008 in her 75th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Emanuel (Hazel) Samms; daughter Classie (Garland) Hilliard; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Florence was predeceased by her husband John in 2002, her daughter Matilda in August 2007, four brothers and three sisters. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Thursday, June 19th between the hours of 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, from where a Service of Remembrance will take place at 2:00 pm, Reverend Fudge officiating. Interment will follow at Barachois Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
