DINAH “EDNA” ANTHONY Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Anthony announce her passing on Friday, July 4th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her special companion, Lionel Chaulk; children: Wayne Anthony, Halifax, NS, Marvin Anthony (Heather), Halifax, NS, Emmaline (John) Ryan, Lodge Bay, Labrador and Sharon (Max) Brown, Corner Brook; grandchildren: Sheldon and Amanda Anthony, Adrienne and Ashley Anthony, Cody and Shane Ryan, Jenna and Keisha Brown; great grandchildren: Makyle, LaNaya, Payton and Avery; sister: Helenna (John) Kendell, Codroy; sisters-in-law: Georgie Penney, Leona Locke, Emmaline Charand, Myrtle McCarthy and Norma French; brother-in-law: Leslie Anthony; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Edgar; parents: John and Elizabeth Kendell; brothers: Cecil, Victor, Mark and sister, Gladys. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main street. Reverend Michael Rice officiating,. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Newfoundland and Labrador Heart and Stroke Foundation.
