JAMES PATRICK QUIGLEY Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Patrick (Jim) Quigley of Curling announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by his loving children, at the ICU of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Sunday, August 10th, 2008 in his 83rd year. He is predeceased by his son, Douglas and his sister, Kate. Left to mourn are his children: Jim (Linda), Ottawa, Marilyn (Don), B.C., Sandra (Leo), Goose Bay, Mike, Halifax, Catherine, Curling and Krista (Todd), Mt. Moriah; as well as their mother, Helen Quigley. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Andrew, Carissa and Sophie Idsinga, Katie, Gunther, Matthew Quigley, Gerard and Jeremy Bellows and seven great grandchildren. Jim, a.k.a.”Scholar” will also be missed by a large circle of friends he has entertained over the years especially Francis Roche, Elaine Clarke, George White and Vaughn and Jackie Hefford. Heartfelt thanks to his long time Doctor, Robert Young and to Dr. Jones; and the many nurses who cared for him this past week. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Monday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 10:30 A.M. from Sacred Heart Parish, Curling. Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. This will be followed by a reception at the Westmount Club on Herald Avenue beginning at 2:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association are welcome.
