SILAS GEORGE PITCHER McIVER’S, NL June 28, 1923 - August 15, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Silas Pitcher announce his passing on Friday, August 15th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons: Ephriam (Rosetta Lovell), Dawson (Marion), Ralph (Karen); daughter: Loretta Lovell, all of McIver’s; grandchildren: Bradley (Stephanie), Glynis (Jay), Charlene, Marty (Chasity), Bobbie-Ann (Frazer), Pamela, Patti (Robert), Mitchell (Sandra), Charmaine (Jason),Janet (Travis), Raymond (Lorna), Tracey (Keith), Trevor (Kimberly); great-grandchildren: Cora, Jordan, Amber, Stacey, Rebecca, Nicole, Colby, Triston, Alyssa, Casey, Madison and Jessie; brothers: Hector of Winterton, Trinity Bay and Arch of Lion’s Manor Nursing Home, Placentia; sister: Carrie Tucker of Victoria, BC; brothers-in-law: Austin Park (Susy), Donald Park, Leo Park (Maxine), Lowell (Daisy) Park; sisters-in-law: Eva Ricketts, Elizabeth Morgan and Gladys Park, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Doreen (2004), daughter and son-in-law: Louise (2007) and Alfred (1995) Lovell; parents: Ephriam and Louise Pitcher; father and mother-in-law: Richard and Christina Park; brothers: Eli and Eric Pitcher and sister, Mary Critchley. The family will be receiving friends from The Anglican Church of the Epiphany, McIvers on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Reverend Joan Coles officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Epiphany Church Memorial Fund or to the Mowbray and Bethany Fund of WMRH.
