It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Ralph Garland Young announces his passing on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 92. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Major Ralph Young (Sharron), Brockville, ON; his daughter Julie Boulding (Dave), Deer Lake, NL; grandchildren: David (Andreanne), Ottawa, On, Julie (Ben), Toronto,ON, Ian (Megan), Dartmouth, NS; his sisters Pearl and Dot; his brother Emanuel, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his wife Emma, parents, Henry and Naomi Young; sisters, Fannie and Ella; brothers, Garfield, Hayward, Wycliffe, and Rex. Friends may visit Salvation Army Citadel, 20 Church Street in Deer Lake on Tuesday, January 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at Salvation Army Citadel on Wednesday, January 17th at 2pm with Major Ralph Young and Majors Frederick and Louise Pond officiating. Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery Wights Road. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
