It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Goosney announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother and grandmother on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook, at the age of 98 years. Born September 16th, 1909 in Isle Aux Mortes, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Organ. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her 11 children: Laura, Calvin (Ada), Fran, Dolores (Gerald), Austin (Casie), Catherine (Jim), Hilda (Johnny), Loretta (Chuck), Winnie (Clayton), Vaughn (Lynn) and Colleen (Tom); 41 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Hilda and Ann; brother George, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Alfred Ingram, second husband William Goosney, 3 sons: Clifton, Gerald and David, daughter Vine, grandson Tommy Bouzanne, grand-daughter Gail Goosney, Great-grandson Tim Lage and her 4 sisters: Charlotte Ingram, Libby Organ, Mary Hulan and Ivy Moore. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Thursday and Friday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at 11:00 am from St. Michael’s & All Angels Anglican Church, Deer Lake. Reverend Canon John Meade officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Farm Rd. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Michael's & All Angels Anglican Church Accessability Fund.
