Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 after a brief illness JOHN EDWARD HUSSEY at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 82nd year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Roberta (Bobbie); 3 daughters: Laura Pye (John), Carol Skeard (Terry), Yolanda Brake (Brian), Grand Prairie, Alberta; grandchildren: Lorelee Porter (Glen), Charlene Hemsley (Shawn), Darius Hussey, Grand Prairie, Alberta, Chris Brake, Grand Prairie, Alberta and Johnathan Brake, Grand Prairie, Alberta, great grandchildren: Brandon Porter, Tegan Hemsley, Hannah Callahan; sisters: Mildred Pye, Mabel Temple, Frone Devereaux, Philadelphia, Dorothy Mannon, Philadelphia; brothers: Lloyd Hussey, William Hussey (Marg); special niece Captain Linda Bradbury (Clarence), Atlanta as well as a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents James & Mary Hussey, infant sons Maxwell & Ariah, brother Stephen. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 19th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Curling Street Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
