John Decker Pollard’s Point, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Decker announce his passing on Wednesday, October 1st, 2008 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife of 70 years, Helen; children: Jessie (Thomas) Sweeney, Oshawa, ON, Elizabeth (Erwin) Deighan, Oshawa, ON, Gilbert (Mary), Pollard’s Point, Kathleen (Walter) Hynes, Conception Bay, Seal Cove, David (Diane), Brampton, ON and Dale (Derick) O’Brien, Torbay; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; special family member, Olive Milley; as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by daughter Linda; brothers: Allan, Thomas and Gordon; and brother-in-law: Fred Ralph. Visitation will take place from St. Michael and All Angel’s Anglican Church, Pollard’s Point on Friday from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Hannah Dicks officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Michael and All Angels Church Memorial Fund.
