HARLAN VINCENT LAWRENCE O’Connell Centre Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harlan Lawrence announce his passing on Thursday, October 8th, 2008 at the J.I.O’Connell Centre at the age of 90 years. Mr. Lawrence served oversea’s in the Forestry Unit, Scotland from 1939 to 1945. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Keith (Deborah), Corner Brook, Eileen (Bill) Parsons, Little Rapids, and Carson (Edith), Gander; seven grandchildren: Danielle and Cameron Lawrence, Dustin and Jillian Parsons, Kelsey, Jordan and Adam Lawrence; three sisters: Rose Reid, Vancouver, BC, Vera Crocker, St. John’s, and Joan Weir , Perth, On; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife Mary (Doll), 1989; daughter Cavell, 1977; brothers: William and Carson; sisters: Joyce and Lea. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Canon Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Daffodil Place.
