CYRIL BENJAMIN GILLAM 199 Humber Road, Corner Brook It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cyril Gillam announce his passing on Friday, October 17th, 2008 at his family residence surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with very loving memories is his best friend and wife Peggy (nee Ryan); daughters: Melvena (Terry Tracey Sr.), Pasadena, Anne (Roger Lewis), Pasadena and Linda (Ben MacConnell), PEI; son: Dwayne (Carla, nee Fraser), Corner Brook; grandchildren: Terry Tracey Jr. (Connie, nee Clarke), Pasadena, Nikki Scanlon-nee MacConnell (Blaine), Halifax, NS, Peggy MacConnell, Yellowknife, NT, Billy Jean MacConnell, Yellowknife, NT, Lexi MacConnell, Corner Brook, Chandler MacConnell, Georgetown, PEI, Leslie Lewis (Jamie Pye), Corner Brook, Victoria Lewis (Steve Pittman), Pasadena, Zackery and Anna Gillam, Corner Brook; great grandchildren: Jordan Tracey, Raven, River, Keilee Scanlon, Maria MacConnell-Andrew; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and very special friends that visited him often at his home and garage (RaggedAss Road) on Humber Road. Predeceased by his parents William and Eva (Farnell) Gillam, and brothers, Bill, Les and Eric. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday from 7-9, and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street, with interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Humber United Church Memorial Fund.
