Eileen Wells Corner Brook, NL June 1, 1916 - October 25, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eileen Wells announce her passing on Saturday, October 25th, 2008 at the Interfaith Home for Seniors at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Jane (Malcolm) White, Pasadena, Phyllis (Gordon) Cass and William (Colleen), Corner Brook; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; son-in-law: Roy Batstone; sisters: Mildred Hutchings (Stan, deceased), and Elsie Wheeler (Percy, deceased); brother-in-law: Frank Wheeler; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph George Wells. September 21st, 2004; sons: Frederick and Gerald; daughters Ruby Batstone and Melvina; parents: Frederick and Evelyn Ruth; sisters: Georgina, Marjorie, Gertie and Ivy; brothers: Harold, Chesley and Fred. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street. Reverend Kathy Brett officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
