Obituary of Maxwell Fredrick Power

Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Frederick Power announce his passing after a short, but courageous fight with cancer, on Friday, December 3rd, 2004 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 58 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Rose, son Cory (Tara), daughter Danica (Tim), his precious granddaughter 'Poppy's Girl' Brianna. Brothers: Don (Judy), Glen (Jim), Wally (Judy), Colin, Tom (Phyllis), Tony (Susan) and Darryl (Lori). Sisters: Doreen (Ray) Wall, Jean (Dave) Smith, Brenda (Frank) Layden, Phyllis (Jerry) Rankin, Irene (Gary) Bailey and Debbie (Blaine) Rideout. Mother-in-law Myrtle Rumbolt, brothers-in-law: Eugene (Wanda) Rumbolt, Wade Rumbolt and Maurice (Michel1e) Rumbolt, sisters-in-law: June (George) Krueger and Myra (Chris) Lush. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Mercedes Power, sisters Joan and Marjorie, father-in-law Gordon Rumbolt, brother-in-law Felix Young, niece Linda Smith and nephew Felix Young Jr.. The family received friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday and Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 10-11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 6th at 2:00 PM from Memorial United Church, Curling with Mrs. Mary Brenson officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to Memorial United Church or The Canadian Cancer Society.
