Myrtle Jessie SMITH (Nee Badcock) Sept. 15, 1914 - Nov. 4, 2008 Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008, in the presence of her loving family, Myrtle Jessie Smith (Nee Badcock), in her 94th year. Currently of 32 Smith’s Road, Corner Brook, formerly of Bay Roberts. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Melvyn “Lew” (Helen), Summerside, Gerald “Jiggs” (June), Stephenville, David (Jean), George’s Lake, Peggy (Bill Hutchings), who resided with her, Joan (Roy) Musseau, Corner Brook, Bruce (Pam), Mt. Pearl, Kenneth (Glenna), Goulds; daughter-in-law Bev Smith, PEI; sisters-in-law: Muriel Smith and Nellie Badcock, both of Ontario; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, along with a large circle of other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by husband Walter J. “Danny” Smith; son Donald Roy; grand-daughters: Linda J. and Janice Gerine; and parents William Henry and Fannie Badcock of Bay Roberts. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday 7-9 p.m., Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday 10-12 noon. The Funeral Service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church on Friday, November 7th at 2:00 p.m. Canon Derek Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the ALS Society, Arthritis Society or to All Saints Anglican Church Memorial Fund. “Peacefully Rest, Sweet Mom”
