Obituary of Margaret Lucas

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Margaret Lucas announce her passing on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 97 years.  She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children:  Genevieve Carson, Patricia (Ray) Connock, Kevin (Bernice) Lucas, Ted (Michelle Pieroway) Lucas, Ann (Terry) Connock, Margaret Rose (Phonse) Spruvey, Greg (Flor) Lucas, Kathleen (Frank) Sheppard, Calvin Lucas, Carolyn (Hughie) Blanchard, Eileen (Guy) Young, Marina (Gilbert) Curnew, Byron (Penny) Lucas, Brian (Lisa) Lucas; 33 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  She is pre-deceased by her parents:  Andrew and Agatha Hawkins; husband Yves Lucas; daughter Isabel; son Andrew; brothers:  Simon, Crissy, William; sisters:  Mamie, Blanche, Bernadette and Agatha.  Visitation will take place on Monday, November 5, 2018 between the hours of 7 – 9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West Street, Stephenville Crossing, NL.  The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. from Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing, NL with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.  Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing, NL will take place following the service.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
