It is with great sadness that the family of the late Flora Bird announce her passing on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 at the Labrador Health Centre, at the age of 92 years. She will be sadly missed by her children Gerald, Rose (Bird) Pardy, Eliza Emery, Glenn, Pat, Herman, Willa Parrott and Margaret Boudreau; sister Verrina; brother Alexander; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Tom Bird; common-law husband Glenn Ross; sons: Edgar and Steve; daughter Linda Abbott; parents Robert and Martha (Davis) Pardy; brothers: Harold, Fred, Chesley, Irving; sisters: Ella Learning and Sybil. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Friday, November 14th between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church. Interment following at the community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
