Albert Bungay March 21, 1930 - November 7, 2008 It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Albert Bungay passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday, November 7th, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Freida; children: Sue, Vickie, Alma, Sherman, Virginia, Caroline, and Dwight; grandchildren: Brent, April, Zoë-Lynn, Trevor, Alana, Jillian, Ayla, Albert, Jeremy, Melissa, Jacob, Katie, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren: Erica and Julia; sons-in-law: Michael, Phil, Ken, Tommy, Ed, Geoff and daughter-in-law Monique. He also leaves behind his extended family and a large circle of friends. He will live forever in our hearts. He enjoyed life and was devoted to his wife of 53 years, his children, and to the farm they built together. He was a hard-working and honest man who saw beauty in nature - animals, flowers, trees, his garden, the mountains. It is here where we will always feel his presence. We will miss your wonderful sense of wit and humor, your practical jokes, getting skunked by you in a game of cribbage, but most of all, the look of pride on your face when mom played your favorite tunes on the mandolin. Thank you for all the beautiful memories. We extend our thanks and deep gratitude to all those who offered support and comfort during this most difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Roger and her team of doctors and nurses at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their compassionate care and support. Friends visited St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry on Saturday and Sunday, from where the Funeral Service took place on Monday, November 10th at 10:30 am. Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at St. Thomas Cemetery in Codroy Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques.
